Yakwa Khang Peak (YAKA) is a climbing peak in the Damodar mountain range of Nesyang/Barhagau Muktiksetra municipality of Mustang district in Nepal. The mountain peak has an elevation of 6482m and can be located at latitude 28.8086 longitude 83.9444.The summit of Yakwa Khang Peak offers stunning views of mount Khatung Khang, Damodar Himal, Kang Kuru, kang Garu, Hongde and more.
The Region
The region habitats vegetation of Pine and Hemlock forests, White Fir, Juniper, Birch and Rhododendron, scrub and alpine plant communities are common at the higher altitude. The park is home to the Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr, Marten, Himalayan Mouse Hare (Pika), and over 118 species of bird including the Impeyan Pheasant, Snow Cock, Blood Pheasant, and Red-billed Cough.

Trails
There are two trails you can follow to summit Yakwa Khang Peak. The first trail passes from Jomsom, Kagbeni, Muktinath, Thorong La, and to the base camp of Yakwa Khang Peak, this route is 26.3Km and the climbing route is 2.4Km.
The second trail passes from and through Chame, Dhikur Pokhari, Humda, Manang, Ledar, Thorang La, and to the base camp of Yakwa Khang Peak, this route is 49.1Km and the climbing route is 2.4Km.
