Tukuche Peak Climbing

A worthy and difficult mountaineering target-Tukuche Peak is a spectacular mountain just outside Dhaulagiri I and the Annapurna range near the Kali Gandaki George. It is situated in the wild (hidden) Mustang Valley, a fantastic northern Nepal trekking destination. This trip mixes difficult climbing with exciting trekking.

We walk across Kali Gandaki’s deep gorge before the actual climb. We start from Pokhara to Beni, proceed to Tatopani (the hot springs) and then to Ghasa and Tukuche, following the Annapurna Conservation Area trekking trail. Sign for breathtaking views of the mountains and valleys!

We’re approaching our main goal after this relaxed process. Following about 4/5 days of training at Base Camp and High Camp through the North East Ridge, we seek the Tukuche Peak Summit (6920 m). Once we set up Base Camp, we start to set up the route and acclimatize. In 1969, a Swiss team first climbed Tukuche. The region is not so frequently visited by commercial trekking and climbing groups due to its remote location and the difficulty of the mountains, making it an even more enticing adventure.

We descend to Jomsom for some rest after the climbing process and take a flight to Pokhara and go on to Kathmandu by what means are most convenient.

Snowy Horizon gives you a full board kit including the NMA climbing license and all the logistics you need – from your arrival in Kathmandu to your departure. We plan your accommodation in Kathmandu and our cooks prepare you freshly nutritious meals throughout the climbing season. Experienced and skilled trekking and climbing guides will accompany you on the trek and the climb. We can also arrange some sightseeing in and around Kathmandu. Upon request, we can also only provide base camp service (including the climbing permit) where the climber will manage all the logistics needed for any part of the above base camp climb.
