Tridevi Temple (त्रिदेवी मन्दिर)

त्रिदेवी मन्दिर ठमेलको पूर्वी प्रवेशद्वारमा, गार्डेन अफ ड्रीम्सको ठीक अगाडि र त्रिदेवी सडक नजिक अवस्थित छ । यस त्रिदेवी मन्दिरभित्र तीन फरक फरक मन्दिरहरू छन्, जसमा देवीहरू कामरू कामाक्ष्या, दक्षिणकाली ज्वालामाईलाई समर्पित गरिएको छ । यो मन्दिर प्रसिद्ध योद्धा बडाकाजी अमर सिंह थापासँग जोडिएको छ । जनश्रुति अनुसार, बडाकाजी अमर सिंह थापाले नेपालका विभिन्न भागहरूबाट यी देवीहरूको मूर्तिहरू ल्याई यहाँ स्थापना गरेका थिए । भनिन्छ, कामरू कामाक्ष्या देवीको मूर्ति असमको गुवाहाटीबाट, दक्षिणकाली नेपालको मध्य भागबाट, र ज्वालामाई देवी पश्चिम नेपालबाट ल्याइएको हो । मन्दिर परिसरभित्र गणेशको मन्दिर, हनुमानको मन्दिर, २ वटा शिव मन्दिर, नारायणको मन्दिर र कुमारीको मन्दिर रहेका छन् । मन्दिरभित्र विभिन्न ऐतिहासिक मूर्तिहरू तथा कलाकृतिहरू रहेका छन् । मन्दिरमा नित्य पूजा, आरती, शिवरात्रि, तिहार तथा अन्य विशेष पर्वहरूमा भजन-कीर्तन, प्रवचन, बडादशैं, चैत्र दशैं, नयाँ वर्ष पूजा समारोह आयोजना गरिन्छ। यहाँ कलाकृतिहरू पनी धेरै रहेका छन् ।                      The Tridevi Temple is located at the eastern entrance of Thamel, right in front of the Garden of Dreams and near Tridevi Marg. Within this Tridevi Temple complex, there are three distinct temples dedicated to the goddesses Kamru Kamakshya, Dakshinkali, and Jwalamai. This temple is associated with the famous warrior Bada Kaji Amar Singh Thapa. According to legend, Bada Kaji Amar Singh Thapa brought the idols of these goddesses from different parts of Nepal and installed them here. It is believed that the idol of Kamru Kamakshya Devi was brought from Guwahati, Assam; Dakshinkali from the central part of Nepal; and Jwalamai Devi from western Nepal. The temple complex also houses temples of Ganesh, Hanuman, two Shiva temples, Narayan, and Kumari. Inside the temple, various historical idols and artworks can be found. Daily worship, aarti, and religious ceremonies such as Shivaratri, Tihar, Bhajan-Kirtan, discourses, Bada Dashain, Chaitra Dashain, and New Year’s worship ceremonies are conducted here. There are also numerous artistic sculptures and artworks present in the temple.
