Thorong Peak (THOR) is a climbing peak in the Damodar mountain range of Nesyang/Barhagau Muktiksetra municipality of Mustang/Manang district in Nepal. The mountain peak has an elevation of 5751m and can be located at latitude 28.7825 longitude 83.93. The summit of Thorong Peak offers stunning views of mount Tharpu Chuli (Tent Peak) 5695m, Tilicho Peak 7134m, Varaha Shikhar (Fang) 7647m , Annapurna I 8091m, Annapurna II 7937m, and more.
The region habitats vegetation of Pine and Hemlock forests, White Fir, Juniper, Birch and Rhododendron, scrub and alpine plant communities are common at the higher altitude. The park is home to the Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr, Marten, Himalayan Mouse Hare (Pika), and over 118 species of bird including the Impeyan Pheasant, Snow Cock, Blood Pheasant, and Red-billed Cough.
