Tengboche Trek is a short trek to the beating heart of the Everest region, the Tengboche monastery. Many people wish to see Everest from near but they do not have time to go all the way to the Everest base camp. This trek is the perfect opportunity to get the best views of Mount Everest without going all the way to base camp.The monastery trek starts from Lukla airport; the gateway to the Everest area. From Lukla you walk to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar at 3440 meters. At Namche you will take a rest day for proper acclimatization. Here you can take an optional walk up to Everest View Hotel for another beautiful view of the surrounding mountains.This walk will also help for the acclimatation process. After Namche you head higher to the scenic spot at the Buddhist Tengboche Monastery. Here you will enjoy the impressive scenery surrounded with luscious forests of rhododendron, pines and oaks tree lines with the snow capped Everest towering above the Khumbu valley. Off course there is time to visit the monastery where you can observe the lama priests and voluntarily join them in the practice of prayer. After your time at the monastery and after enjoying the panoramic mountain views, you slowly descend with a scenic walk. This beautiful trekking at scenic valley of Khumbu ends at Lukla for the flight back to Kathmandu. Thyangboche trekking is must do trek.

Day 5: Trek from Tengboche to Monjo Monjo
Day 6: Trek from Monjo to Lukla
