Subarneshwor Mahadev is a Hindu temple on the top of Suryavinayak hill amid the Pinus forest with a stunning view of Kathmandu valley. The stone inscription found on the left side of the temple dates back to 753 AD. Tall natural Shivling is wrapped with copper inside the temple. Subarna in Sanskrit means good body, so anyone who worships at this temple is believed to get a good body. In the Newari language, the temple is called Lun Chu Mahadev, or the Mahadev who blesses his devotees with gold.
Subarneshwor Mahadev temple houses Pati, Bhajan Mandali, Peepal tree, and tap water. The temple is an excellent venue for any Puja occasion with a quiet, fresh and serene environment.
