Shivapuri national park was established in 2002 and was the ninth national park of Nepal. Shivapuri national park is the combination of the two forest islands which is the Shivapuri and the Nagarjun. The national park is named after the Shivpuri peaks which have an altitude of about 2732m. The park area is surrounded by the heavy towns of Kathmandu. The national park is located in the country’s mid-hills on the northern fringe of the Kathmandu Valley. Shivapuri trek is also said as the t short trek of the Kathmandu valley which is as hilly and satisfying just like any other trek in the foothills of the Himalayas. The trekking path tries to climb to the northern valley surface and then follows the hill into the park’s subtropical forest through the Tamang village.
