Saribung (SARI) is a climbing peak in the Damodar mountain range of Nar Phu/ Dalome municipality of Mustang/ Manang district in Nepal. The mountain peak has an elevation of 6328m and can be located at latitude 28.8844 longitude 84.1739. The summit of Saribung Peak offers stunning views of mount Jijang 6111m, Hongde 6556m, Ghyun Himal I 6099m, Kang Kuru 6355m, Khumjung 6759m, and more.
The region habitats vegetation of Pine and Hemlock forests, White Fir, Juniper, Birch and Rhododendron, scrub and alpine plant communities are common at the higher altitude.
The park is home to the Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr, Marten, Himalayan Mouse Hare (Pika), and over 118 species of bird including the Impeyan Pheasant, Snow Cock, Blood Pheasant, and Red-billed Cough.
Saribung Peak climbing expedition is 30 days challenging adventure trip. The expedition starts from Kathmandu where you will make essential backpacking and preparation. Your guide will brief you with the necessary trip details.
There are two trails you can follow to summit Saribung Peak. The first trail passes from Jomsom, Kagbeni, Chhusang, Ghami, Charang, Yaragaun, and to the base camp of Saribung Peak, this route is 101 Km and the climbing route is 1.8 Km.
The second trail passes from Chame, Meta, Kyang, Phu, Nagoru to the base camp of Saribung Peak, this route is 44.4 Km and the climbing route is 9.5 Km.
