The Royal Trek is one of the shortest treks along the foothills of Annapurna, north of the Pokhara Valley, following a shrub-like trail. The Royal Trek is so-called because in the early eighties, Prince Charles and his entourage of 90 people had explored this route. With the diverse mix of people and cultures that inhabit this area, this trek offers opportunities for meaningful cultural experiences.
Royal trek’s journey begins in Pokhara’s beautiful lakeside town and passes through beautiful hamlets of Gurung. During the trek, we can enjoy stunning views of the eloquently built rice hillside terraces, the magnificent Annapurna Range, Machapuchhre[ fishtail] and the views of the Langtang Mountain. Finally, the trip ends at the picturesque Begnas Lake about 30 km west of Pokhara Town.
The Royal Trekking Trip is recommended for beginners who are limited to trekking longer by time. This Royal Trek presents a true picture of uniqueness and allows us to capture the traditional lifestyles of the tribes whose ancient religious practices and traditions for thousands of years have remained unchanged. Royal trekking route is less crowded compared to other trekking areas in the Annapurna region, so you can get closer to nature, culture and lifestyle.
