Pota North Peak Climbing

Pota North  (POTA) is a climbing peak in the Dhaulagiri Dhaulagiri mountain range of Chharka Tongsong municipality of Dolpa district in Nepal. The mountain peak has an elevation of 6649m and can be located at latitude 27.7739 longitude 86.9114. The summit of Pota North  offers stunning views of mount Kanjerawla, Dogari Himal,  Putha Hiunchuli, Kanjiroba, and more.

The Region

The region habitats vegetation of Pine and Hemlock forests, White Fir, Juniper, Birch and Rhododendron, scrub and alpine plant communities are common at the higher altitude.

The park is home to the Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr, Marten, Himalayan Mouse Hare (Pika), and over 118 species of bird including the Impeyan Pheasant, Snow Cock, Blood Pheasant, and Red-billed Cough.

Trails

The trail you can follow to summit Pota North  passes from Juphal, Dunai, Suligadgaun, Tarakot, Gumbagaun, Tachhingaun, Kakkotgaun to the base camp of Pota North  this route is 51.4Km and the climbing route is 12.8Km.
