Pandra Peak Climbing

Pandra (PANDPAND) is a climbing peak in the Janak mountain range of Phaktanglung municipality of Taplejung district in Nepal. The mountain peak has an elevation of 6580m and can be located at latitude 27.8644 longitude 87.9953. The summit of Pandra offers stunning views of mount Gimmigela 7350m, Talung 7349m, Kabru 7276m, Nepal Peak 7177m, and more.

The Region

The region habitats vegetation of Pine and Hemlock forests, White Fir, Juniper, Birch and Rhododendron, scrub and alpine plant communities are common at the higher altitude.

The park is home to the Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr, Marten, Himalayan Mouse Hare (Pika), and over 118 species of bird including the Impeyan Pheasant, Snow Cock, Blood Pheasant, and Red-billed Cough.

Trails

The trail you can follow to summit Pandra passes from Taplejung, Siwa, Tapethok, Ghunsa, Khangpachen, Lhonak to the base camp of Pandra, this route is 79.2Km and the climbing route is 8.8Km.
