Mukot Himal (MUKT) is a climbing peak in the Dhaulagiri mountain range of Chharka Tongsong/Barhagau Muktiksetra municipality of Dolpa/Mustang district in Nepal. The mountain peak has an elevation of 6087m and can be located at latitude 28.8169 longitude 83.4822. The summit of Mukot Himal Peak offers stunning views of mount Sita Chuchura 6611m, Manapathi 6380m, Ghustung South 6465m, Ghustung North 6529m, Dogari Himal 6332m, and more.
The region habitats vegetation of Pine and Hemlock forests, White Fir, Juniper, Birch and Rhododendron, scrub and alpine plant communities are common at the higher altitude.
The park is home to the Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr, Marten, Himalayan Mouse Hare (Pika), and over 118 species of bird including the Impeyan Pheasant, Snow Cock, Blood Pheasant, and Red-billed Cough.
Mukot Himal Peak climbing expedition is 20 days challenging adventure trip. The expedition starts from Kathmandu where you will make essential backpacking and preparation. Your guide will brief you with the necessary trip details.
There are two trails you can follow to summit Mukot Himal Peak. The first trail passes from Jomsom, Syang, Marpha, Thapa Bhanjyang, and to the base camp of Mukot Peak, this route is 22.6 Km and the climbing route is 11.2 Km.
The second trail passes from Beni, Galeshwar, Baishari, Tatopani, Lete, Larjung, Marpha, Thapa Bhanjyang to the base camp of Mukot Peak, this route is 67 Km and the climbing route is 11.2 Km.
