The temple is on the edge of Durbar Square and is guarded by a statue of Lord Shiva. It is easy to miss, but it is actually item 1 in the leaflet distributed by the Hanuman-Dhoka Durbar Conservation Project. The temple is located in the north of Durbar Square and is not part of the paid area. Its history can be traced back to 1561, but after serious restoration, its materials have nothing to do with it.
