Loshar II Peak Climbing

Loshar II Peak (LOS2) is a climbing peak in the Janak mountain range of Phaktanglung municipality of Taplejung district in Nepal. The mountain peak has an elevation of 6860m and can be located at latitude 27.8861 longitude 88.0669. The summit of Loshar II Peak offers stunning views of Janak Himal, Khangpachen, Jongsong peak, Mera peak, Loshar I peak, and more.

The Region

The region habitats vegetation of Pine and Hemlock forests, White Fir, Juniper, Birch and Rhododendron, scrub and alpine plant communities are common at the higher altitude. The park is home to the Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr, Marten, Himalayan Mouse Hare (Pika), and over 118 species of bird including the Impeyan Pheasant, Snow Cock, Blood Pheasant, and Red-billed Cough.

Trails

There is one trail you can follow to summit Loshar II Peak. The trail passes from Taplejung, Siwa, Tapethok, Ghunsa, Khangpachen, Lonak, and to the base camp of Loshar II Peak, this route is 72.4Km and the climbing route is 12.7Km.
