Lhashamma Peak (LHAS) is a climbing peak in the Kanjiroba mountain range of Jagdulla/Shey Phoksundo municipality of Dolpa district in Nepal. The mountain peak has an elevation of 6412m and can be located at latitude 29.2258 longitude 82.7472. The summit of Lhashamma Peak offers stunning views of Kangfu Gaton Kanta Gaton, Kanjeralwa, Kanjiroba Main, Kanjiroba North and more.
The region habitats vegetation of Pine and Hemlock forests, White Fir, Juniper, Birch and Rhododendron, scrub and alpine plant communities are common at the higher altitude.
The park is home to the Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr, Marten, Himalayan Mouse Hare (Pika), and over 118 species of bird including the Impeyan Pheasant, Snow Cock, Blood Pheasant, and Red-billed Cough.
Lhashamma Peak climbing expedition is 35 days challenging adventure trip. The expedition starts from Kathmandu where you will make essential backpacking and preparation. Your guide will brief you with the necessary trip details.
There are two trails you can follow to summit Lhashamma Peak. The first trail passes from Khalanga, Depalgaun, Guthi Chaur, Mani Sangu, Bharbhare Lagna, Majhgaun, Hurikot, and to the base camp of Lhashamma Peak, this route is 67.3Km and the climbing route is 7.1Km.
The second trail passes from Juphal, Suligadgaun, Raktan, Rechi, Sanduwa, Kyaru, and to the base camp of Lhashamma Peak, this route is 45.7Km and the climbing route is 5.1Km.
