Kusum Kanguru Peak Climbing

Kusum Kanguru Peak (KUSU) is a climbing peak in the Mahalangur mountain range of Khumbu Pasang Lhamu municipality of Solukhumbu district in Nepal. The mountain peak has an elevation of 6370m and can be located at latitude 27.7306 longitude 86.7911. The summit of Kusum Kanguru Peak offers stunning views of Khumbu Tse, Karyolung, Khang Karpo, Khangtega and more.

The Region

The region habitats vegetation of Pine and Hemlock forests, White Fir, Juniper, Birch and Rhododendron, scrub and alpine plant communities are common at the higher altitude.

The park is home to the Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr, Marten, Himalayan Mouse Hare (Pika), and over 118 species of bird including the Impeyan Pheasant, Snow Cock, Blood Pheasant, and Red-billed Cough.

The Package

Trails

There is a trail you can follow to summit Kusum Kanguru Peak. The trail passes from Lukla, Chheplung, Nurning, Phakding, Manjo and to the base camp of Kusum Kanguru Peak, this route is 16.3Km and the climbing route is 3.9Km.
