Khayang Peak Climbing

Khayang Peak (KHAY) is a climbing peak in the Kutang mountain range of Chum Nubri municipality of Gorkha district in Nepal. The mountain peak has an elevation of 6186m and can be located at latitude 28.6333 longitude 84.7158. The summit of Khayang Peak offers stunning views of Himal Chuli North, Jarkya Peak, Himal Chuli East, Ngadi Chuli and more.

The Region

The region habitats vegetation of Pine and Hemlock forests, White Fir, Juniper, Birch and Rhododendron, scrub and alpine plant communities are common at the higher altitude.

The park is home to the Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr, Marten, Himalayan Mouse Hare (Pika), and over 118 species of bird including the Impeyan Pheasant, Snow Cock, Blood Pheasant, and Red-billed Cough.

The Package

There is a trail you can follow to summit Khayang Peak. The trail passes from Dhadingbesi, Palpa Bhanjyang, Chandanthok, Majhgaun, Arughat, Jagat, Philim, Bihi, Namrung, Limi, Hungbugaun, and to the base camp of Khayang Peak, this route is 111.1Km and the climbing route is 7.6Km.
