काठमाडौंको मध्य भागमा अवस्थित सपनाको बगैंचा (Garden of Dreams) शहरको कोलाहलबीच शान्तिको एउटा सुन्दर बगैंचा हो । यसको शान्त वातावरणले यहाँ आराम गर्न, पुस्तक पढ्न, वा सहरको भिडभाडबाट टाढा विश्राम गर्न मद्दत पुर्‍याउँछ । यहाँ भ्रमण गर्न उत्तम समय वसन्त र शरद ऋतु हो, अर्थात् मार्चदेखि मे र सेप्टेम्बरदेखि नोभेम्बरसम्म । यस समयमा भ्रमण गर्दा सांस्कृतिक तथा सङ्गीतात्मक कार्यक्रमहरूको पनि आनन्द लिन सकिन्छ , जसले अनुभवलाई अझ रोचक बनाउँछ । यो बगैंचा, जसलाई “गार्डन अफ ड्रीम्स” भनिन्छ, केसर शमशेर जंगबहादुर राणाद्वारा योजनाबद्ध गरिएको थियो । केसर शमशेर जंगबहादुर राणाको निधनपछि बगैचालाई नेपाल सरकारलाई हस्तान्तरण गरियो, तर लामो समयसम्म यसको उचित हेरचाह गरिएन । यद्यपि, सात वर्षको सुधार कार्यपछि बगैचालाई यसको मौलिक रूपमा फर्काइयो र आधुनिक सुविधाहरू पनि थप गरियो । आज यो बगैचा काठमाडौं शहरको हलचलबाट एक शान्त ठाउँमा रहेको छ, जसको आकार ६,८९५ वर्ग मिटर छ । यहाँ नेपालका प्रत्येक छ वटा ऋतुका लागि समर्पित निओ-शास्त्रीय मण्डपहरू, र्फोहराहरू, सजावटी बगैंचा , फर्निचर, गमला, चिनियाँ मून गेट र एक ठूलो केन्द्रीय पोखरी जस्ता प्रमुख तत्त्वहरू छन् । प्रवेश शुल्क नेपाली नागरिकहरूका लागि सामान्य प्रवेश शुल्क १५० रहेको छ भने विदेशी नागरिकहरूका लागि ४०० निर्धारण गरिएको छ ।                                                                                              The Garden of Dreams, located in the heart of Kathmandu, is a beautiful oasis of peace amidst the city’s hustle and bustle. Its tranquil atmosphere provides a perfect place to relax, read a book, or escape from the crowded streets of the city . The best time to visit is during spring and autumn, from March to May and September to November. During these periods, visitors can also enjoy cultural and musical events, making the experience even more fascinating .This garden, known as the “Garden of Dreams,” was originally planned by Kesar Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana . After his passing, the garden was handed over to the Government of Nepal, but for a long time, it was not properly maintained . However, after seven years of restoration, the garden was brought back to its original state, with modern facilities added . Today, the Garden of Dreams serves as a peaceful oasis in the bustling city of Kathmandu, covering an area of 6,895 square meters . The garden features neo-classical pavilions dedicated to Nepal’s six seasons, fountains, decorative gardens, furniture, flower pots, a Chinese moon gate, and a large central pond .The entrance fee is NRs 150 for Nepali citizens and NRs 400 for foreign visitors.
