Kathmandu Local Food Tasting Tour is a one-day private food tasting tour in the Kathmandu valley where you will try varieties of mouth-watering dishes that are cooked using traditional recipes. You will visit the small Lunch Houses in the old towns and outskirts of Bhaktapur, which are serving popular as well as rare delicacies to the locals.
On this tour, your guide will pick you up from your inn and drive you to the ancient Newari town in Old Thimi. There you will try the popular Newari veg and nonveg snacks including King curd. You will check in different food junctions and try the varieties of food while enjoying the good ambiance. From there, you will continue to New Thimi where you will try popular local desserts including Gudpak and Lakhamari that are manufactured locally. Thereafter, you will visit the several lunch houses throughout the day trying most of the dishes available that are popular among the local people. After trying 20 plus dishes and stopping by 10 plus Lunch houses, the tour will end in about 7 to 10 hours.
