Kanchenjunga’s circuit trek will lead you through the pristine Kanchenjunga Conservation Area of Nepal. This park is named after its massive snow treasure Mount Kanchenjunga with an elevation of 8,586m from sea level. Mount Kanchenjunga is the 3rd highest mountain in the world after Mount Everest and Mount K2. Kanchenjunga circuit trek gives you a rare taste of unexploited biodiversity, experienced by very few tourists. Mount Kanchenjunga is considered to be one of the most beautiful snow massifs in the world. Kanchenjunga Circuit trek is an ideal trekking trail for trekkers who enjoy wilderness and solitude. The trek starts from the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. This trek offers views of the most splendid Himalayan landscapes, the route encompasses alpine grasslands, rocky outcrops, dense temperate and subtropical forests, and low river valleys. There are also a number of high mountain lakes in Olangchung Gola, and the Tamor and Arun River systems are another attraction for tourists. These two rivers are the major tributaries of the mighty Sapta Koshi River. The trek heads through diverse land topography, forests, and settlements. You’ll see Kanchenjunga, Yalungkang, Jannu, Makalu, Lhotse, Everest, and numerous ice-capped mountains on the way. If you are lucky you may also see a herd of musk deers, and several species of birds, along with the country’s most pristine oak and rhododendron forests. Discover the world’s largest Yalung glacier, alpine meadows, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and one of the last remaining pristine forests on the planet. Kanchenjunga conservation area covering 2035 Km2 of the area is home to rare species of Snow leopard, Red panda, and Himalayan black beer. Kanchenjunga conservation area habitats around 3000 species of flora, 280 species of birds, 77 species of plants, and 13 species of mammals. Along the trekking trail, you can notice beautiful birds like golden-breasted Fulvetta, Snowcock, Blood Pheasant, and red-billed Cough.
