Kambong Peak Climbing

Kambong Peak (KBON) is a climbing peak in the Dhaulagiri mountain range of Dhawalagiri municipality of Myagdi district in Nepal. The mountain peak has an elevation of 6570m and can be located at latitude 28.6594 longitude 83.308. The summit of Kambong Peak offers stunning views of Khang Sar Khang, Khangsar Khang West, Manapathi and more.  

The Region

The region habitats vegetation of Pine and Hemlock forests, White Fir, Juniper, Birch and Rhododendron, scrub and alpine plant communities are common at the higher altitude.

The park is home to the Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr, Marten, Himalayan Mouse Hare (Pika), and over 118 species of bird including the Impeyan Pheasant, Snow Cock, Blood Pheasant, and Red-billed Cough.

Trails

There is a trails you can follow to summit Kambong Peak. The trail passes from Beni, Babiyachaur, Darbang, Takam, Paireni, Lachhabang, and to the base camp of Kambong Peak, this route is 51.4Km and the climbing route is 12.3Km.
