Gurja Himal Peak Climbing

Gurja Himal Peak (GURJ) is a climbing peak in the Dhaulagiri mountain range of Dhaulagiri municipality of Myagdi district in Nepal. The mountain peak has an elevation of 7193m and can be located at latitude 28.6739 longitude 83.2778. The summit of Gurja Himal Peak offers stunning views of mount Dhaulagiri 8167m, Dhaulagiri II, Churen Himal, Hawley peak, Putha Hiunchuli, and more.

The Region

The region habitats vegetation of Pine and Hemlock forests, White Fir, Juniper, Birch and Rhododendron, scrub and alpine plant communities are common at the higher altitude. The park is home to the Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr, Marten, Himalayan Mouse Hare (Pika), and over 118 species of bird including the Impeyan Pheasant, Snow Cock, Blood Pheasant, and Red-billed Cough.

Trails

There is one trail you can follow to summit Gurja Himal Peak. The trail passes from Beni, Tatopani, Babiyachaur, Darbang, Dharapani, Machhim, Lamsung,Lachhabang, and to the base camp of Gurja Himal Peak, this route is 52.3Km and the climbing route is 11.4Km.
