Gurans Peak Climbing

Gurans Peak (GURA) is a climbing peak in the Gurans mountain range of Kanda

municipality of Bajhang district in Nepal. The mountain peak has an elevation of 6744m and can be located at latitude 30.0431 longitude 81.109. The summit of Gurans Peak offers stunning views of mount Api Himal 7132m, Saipal, Om Parvat, Jethi Bahurani, Firankof East Peak and more.

The Region

The region habitats vegetation of Pine and Hemlock forests, White Fir, Juniper, Birch and Rhododendron, scrub and alpine plant communities are common at the higher altitude. The park is home to the Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr, Marten, Himalayan Mouse Hare (Pika), and over 118 species of bird including the Impeyan Pheasant, Snow Cock, Blood Pheasant, and Red-billed Cough.

Trails

There is one trail you can follow to summit Gurans Peak. The trail passes from Chainpur, Gethichaur, Rumkot, Krimuli Sain, Dahachaur, and to the base camp of Gurans Peak, this route is 62.4Km and the climbing route is 22.1Km.
