Gangapurna Peak (GANM) is a climbing peak in the Annapurna mountain range of Nesyang municipality of Kaski district in Nepal. The mountain peak has an elevation of 7455m and can be located at latitude 28.6053 longitude 83.9658. The summit of Gangapurna Peak offers stunning views of mount Annapurna I 8091m, Annapurna II 7937m, Annapurna III 7555m, Annapurna III 7555m, Annapurna IV 7525m, Gangapurna West, and more.
The region habitats vegetation of Pine and Hemlock forests, White Fir, Juniper, Birch and Rhododendron, scrub and alpine plant communities are common at the higher altitude. The park is home to the Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr, Marten, Himalayan Mouse Hare (Pika), and over 118 species of bird including the Impeyan Pheasant, Snow Cock, Blood Pheasant, and Red-billed Cough.
Gangapurna Peak climbing expedition is 45 days challenging adventure trip. The expedition starts from Kathmandu where you will make essential backpacking and preparation. Your guide will brief you with the necessary trip details.
There are two you can follow to summit Dhaulagiri Peak. The first trail passes from Birethanti–Ghandruk–Tilche–Himalay, Besi Shahar, and to the base camp of Gangapurna Peak, this route is 83.9Km and the climbing route is 12.2Km.
The second trail passes from Nadi Bazar, Ghermu, Tal, Dharapani, Humde, Bhraka, Manang, and to the base camp of Gangapurna Peak, this route is 35.5Km and the climbing route is 9.3Km.
