Everest Circuit Trekking

The Everest Circuit trekking is one of the most popular treks in the Everest region; as it combines the classic close-up views of Everest from Kalapathar, and the awesome experience of Everest Base Camp; along with the sparkling Gokyo Lakes, the ascent of Gokyo Ri for panoramic views of the Himalayas; and the thrill of crossing of the Cho La pass, a remote high altitude pass with captivating natural scenery. We begin the Everest circuit trek with the scenic flight into Lukla. After landing at Lukla Airport, you begin trekking to Phakding village, where you spend the night. Following the trails through the forest of rhododendron and magnolia, you reach Namche Bazaar. At Namche, you will visit the Sherpa museum, Buddhist monasteries, and busy market Tibetan artifacts. Following the popular EBC Trek trails, you will head to the serene Gokyo Valley; while passing three breathtaking glacial lakes enclosed by high peaks. Ascend Gokyo Ri early to have magnificent sunrise views over the great Himalayas. From Gokyo Ri, you can view the world’s highest peaks; which includes Cho Oyu, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and Makalu and the massive Nagozumpa glacier, the longest in Nepal. Leaving Gokyo, you will cross the challenging Cho la pass on the way to Everest base camp; which offers the fantastic views as you descended the pass. After making a step at Everest Base camp, you will achieve an unforgettable experience. Our descending route encompasses many cultural sites – Pangboche, a traditional Sherpa village, Tengboche, famous for a historical, ornamented monastery. In a nutshell, this Everest Circuit Trekking is a combination of Everest Base Camp Trek and Gokyo lake Trek. In addition to a hike over the challenging Chola pass.
