Want to trek again!

(5/5) By Ktmguide on 9 October, 2020

I did EBC trek in 2012, it was such a marvellous experience. We started from Dolaka, crossed Tashi Lapcha Pass 5810m and reached EBC via Gokyo Lakes in our 15th day. We flew back from Lukla. Next time I want to trek via Barun Valley and Sherpeni Col.

Everest Base Camp is a lifetime experience for trekkers who loves to explore the beauty of nature and has the spirit to tackle difficult situations during the trek. A beautiful journey to reach the base camp of the highest mountain in the World, Everest Base Camp is adventurous and a beautiful achievement anyone can ever experience. The path begins from the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu where you will be able to explore the city including the World Heritage Sites of Nepal. Your adventure begins with a half-hour flight to Lukla from the Manthali Airport, Ramechhap. You can experience the best aerial views of the Himalayas during the flight. From Lukla, your first trekking journey will be started. The trek reaches a high point of 5545m at Kala Pattar offering views of Mt Everest and the Khumbu icefall. Throughout the trek, you will experience mesmerizing views of mountains, high altitude Buddhist monasteries, suspension bridges, spanning torrents of sparkling water, rhododendron blooms and spectacular frozen glaciers. Some of the major attractions during the trek to Everest Base Camp are Khumbu Icefall, just above the basecamp a very beautiful Khumbu Icefall is located on the slopes of Mt. Everest, Kala Patthar, one of the most notable peaks during the trek to Everest Base Camp which provides the best views of Mt Everest, Mt Nuptse, and Mt Chantse. During the trek, you can also explore some of the most beautiful village-like Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, and Gorak Shep and know about the local culture and traditions of native Sherpa untouched by modernization. You can find traditional icons of the Buddhist faith and strings of prayer flag in every village during the trek. You will also experience the thrill of accomplishment that grips hikers to witness the beauty of the mountain up close. The facilities on the Everest trek are excellent, you will find good lodges to stay and healthy food to eat. Since trekking and mountaineering are the backbones of the Sherpa economy, the ambience will be great by the locals. The local Sherpa authorities have effectively replaced a Rs 2000 entry fee to TIMS card so, there's no need to get a TIMS card in Kathmandu if you are just headed to the Everest region. This trekking package is designed for the trekkers who are physically fit on average. Other information related to the Everest Base Camp trek will be provided on your arrival by our office staff.
