Dakshinkali Temple

Dakshinkali Temple, one of the biggest Hindu temple is located 22 kilometres away from the Kathmandu valley and just 1 kilometre from Pharping. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali, the incarnation of Goddess Parbati. It is considered as one of the famous pilgrimage destination. The temple is soaked with blood during Tuesday and Saturday, thousands of animals are sacrificed to make the Goddess happy. After beheading the animals, pilgrimage rest in the forest having a feast and enjoying forest barbecue. During the famous festival of Nepal, Dashain. The temple is washed by a crimson tide and goddess Kali is worshipped by thousands of pilgrims. We would recommend you to visit this temple and take blessings from Goddess Kali.
