Chisapani Hike

Chisapani hike starts from the northeast of Kathmandu and is at the height of 2,215m. The hike can be elongated to 2 days or can be completed in a day. The first day of the hike is uphill walking where we have to go through the rhododendron forest of the Shivapuri National Park. After some 3-5 hours of walk, we will reach the mountain view of chisapani where we can have a close view of the long-range of the eastern Himalayas from Langtang to the Gaurisankhar range. On the second day of the hike, we will pass through the ethnic villages and mostly through a dense and beautiful forest where we can hear the sound of the birds and enjoy the view of the Himalayas. During the winter season, we can also see some deer and the wild fowls in the way. On the 2nd day of the chisapani hike, the hike ends at Sankhu where we can find the vehicles for Kathmandu. The hike can also continue for 3 days, where we can see another famous mountain viewpoint on Kathmandu Valley. The chisapani hike is very easy and smooth but it is also considered moderate in difficulty because of the uphill climb of the first day. Chisapani also has a small settlement of Brahmin, Gurung, and Sherpa.
