Chekigo Peak Climbing

Mt. Chekigo Peak 6257 m is a newly opened mountaineering adventure trail that lies close to Mt. Gaurishankar Himal (7,134 m) between Khumbu and Rolwaling Valley. Often written as Chekijo peak is Mt. Chekigo peak, one of Nepal’s least climbed trekking mountains.

Mt. Chekigo Peak 6257 m is a newly opened mountain adventure trail between Khumbu and Rolwaling Valley, located near Mt. Gaurishankar Himal (7,134 m). Mt. Chekigo peak, one of the least climbed trekking mountains in Nepal, is often written as Chekijo hill. The Gaurishankar peak region’s impressive summit here is a different route that can be reached at the top of the chekigo range. While setting in the Rolwaling Valley wilderness which combines with moving across the Tashi Labsta La Pass at 5755 m which is considered one of the most difficult passes on the Chekigo peak climbing path. This trail offers us, among others, excellent views of Mt. Tengi Ragi Tau (6,943 m), Mt. Dragkar Go (6,793 m) and Mt. Bisphero Go Shar (6,729 m).

Trekking to the Chekigo peak is easily accessible by road from Kathmandu, through beautiful mountain terrain, various beautiful villages, some of Nepal’s most religious sites like Biju Gompa and Kalinchok Temple etc. The beautiful views of the Himalayas such as Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Lamjung Himal, Shishapangma, Gauri Shanker, Langtang, Dorjee Lakpa, etc. can be observed during your trek. Also, a Himalayan ride from the green to the glacier is a spectacular climb in Nepal, walking along the Rhododendron forest, paddy fields, higher meadows and different species of birds etc. will make your travel one of your life’s memorable journeys.

Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel 

Day 02: Full day Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley and preparation for the trek

Day 03: Drive to Shingati (950m).

Day 04: Trek to Jagat (1150m).

Day 05: Trek to Simigaoun (1990m).

Day 06: Trek to Gyalche (2990m).

Day 07: Trek to Beding (3690m).

Day 08: Rest and little hike in Beding for Acclimatization

Day 09: Trek to Chekigo base camp.

Day 10-19: Climbing Period

Day 20: Trek to Beding.

Day 21: Trek to Simigaon.

Day 22: Trek to Jagat

Day 23: Trek to Shingati

Day 24: Drive to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

Day 25: Rest and final shopping day in Kathmandu Valley

Day 26: Departure to your destination
