The temple of Bindhyabasini Devi at Anantalingeshwor in Bhaktapur is truly supernatural. The feeling of love and compassion is awakened as soon as you reach this temple in a quiet and clean environment under the forest. Bindhyabasini means forest-dwelling goddess in Sanskrit. Bindhyabasini Devi is a form of Nava Durga. This temple is at a height of about 100 meters from the road. At the beginning of the small steps leading to the temple, there is a temple of Kulamaya Bhagwati and Panchakanya Devis who do not get much attention but fulfill wishes from ancient times.
भक्तपुरको अनन्तलिङ्गेश्वोरमा रहेको बिन्ध्यबासिनी देवीको मन्दिर साच्चै अलौकिक छ । वन मुनि शान्त र स्वछ वातावरण मा रहेको यस मन्दिरमा पुग्ने वितिकै माया र करुणाको भावना जागृत भएको महसुस हुन्छ । बिन्ध्यबासिनीको अर्थ संस्कृतमा वनमा वास गर्ने देवी भन्ने बुझिन्छ। बिन्ध्यबासिनी देवी नव दुर्गाको एउटा रुप हो । यो मन्दिर सडक बाट करिब १०० मीटरको उचाई मा रहेको छ । मन्दिर सम्म पुग्ने खुड्किलाहरुको सुरुवातमा खासै ध्यान नपुग्ने तर परापुर्वकाल देखिका मनोकामना पुरा गर्ने कुलमाया भगवतीको र पन्चकन्या देवीहरुको को मन्दिर छ ।
