Bhairab Kunda trek is a 10 day spiritual plus adventure trekking package where you will trek to the holy lake Bhairab Kunda in the Langtang National Park of Nepal. Bhairab Kunda spans an area of 13,400 sq.m meters at an altitude of 4250m. The lake got its name from the god Bhairab, who is regarded as 64 forms of Lord Shiva in his anger. It is a pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists, on every full moon of Bhadra month, hundreds of followers trek to the Bhairab Kunda lake and pray for the liberation of their ancestor’s departed soul.
This trek is done in full camping mode. It starts with a 5 hours jeep ride from Kathmandu to Jalbire in the Sindhupalchowk district. From Jalbire you will trek through remote villages settled by the ethnic community of Gurung, Sherpa, and Newar. The culture and lifestyle in those remote communities are still unchanged by the wave of time. On this trek, you can see beautiful mountains like Langtang 7234m, Dorje Lhakpa 6966m, Phurbi Chyachu 6637m, Gangchenpo 6,387m, Loenpo Gang 6979m, and more. The best time to go on the Bhairab Kunda trek is during April, May, October, and November where days are sunny warm and nights are cool. The trail passes from the tropical forest of Jalbire to the alpine scrub above Forest Camp. On the trail, you may get a very rare glimpse of endangered wild animals like Snow Leopard, Red Panda, Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr, Himalayan Goral, Himalayan Black Bear, Grey Monkey, and more. The region is home to rare medicinal plants like Swertia, Jatamasi, and Cordyceps. Along the trek, you will pass through thick Rhododendron and Oak forest accompanied by numerous species of birds and butterflies.

Refund policy: Money will be refunded in only cases where the trekking site is closed, or the trek site is blocked by natural disasters like landslides. The money will not be refunded after the trek has started or you want to stop trekking due to your personal reasons.
Deposits: The total deposit of at least USD500 per person by the trekker should be done. All deposits shall be directly paid to Ktmguide at least 1 month before the event is scheduled.
Cancelation Policy: If you want to cancel your participation, please write to us as early as possible. If the cancelation is made before 30 days of the event, 50% of the deposit will be refunded. If the cancelation is made after full payment and the event is confirmed, only 50% of the total paid amount will be refunded.
Disclaimer: In case of cancelation of the event due to unavoidable circumstances like weather and authorities involved, a notice will be published before 30 days of the event. In case of such cancelation, a full refund will be made or offset the amount against any of our upcoming skydiving packages. Ktmguide takes full liability for the recovery of your money without any loss. However, if you cancel the participation midway, the company will not be able to refund the incurred expenses.
Note: When you choose package B or C, there will be an extra 4 kitchen staff to carry and prepare food. So the total group size will be 11. Package C is suitable if you want to have delicious meals during the trek.
