Amideva Buddha Park

Amideva Buddha Park features three giant golden statues of Buddha, located near the Monkey Temple. If you like less crowded places to peacefully enjoy a site and it’s surroundings. The Park in Kathmandu is the site of the largest Buddha statue in Nepal at 67 feet, and also two other Buddhas at 64 feet each. It is a relaxing place, not busy with tourists, at least when I was there, despite its location just off the bustling Ring Road of the city. The entrance is free of charge, and the religious concentration is flanked by parkland that is a welcome sight in what is often a traffic-clogged and dusty city. The location is also an excellent access point for Swayambhunath, or the monkey temple, with a direct walkway, lined with booths, connecting the two points.
