World Wetlands Day
World Wetland Day takes place on the 2nd of February every year globally to raise awareness about the wetlands. In Nepal also the event takes place with the support of WWF, Department of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation (DNPWC), ICIMOD, IUCN, UNDP, and ZCL. During this event, the plans and visions about the wetland and its importance are focused on further development and conservation. Likewise, various awareness programs are also conducted on this day.
