World Leprosy Day
Leprosy is a contagious disease that affects our skin, mucous membranes, and nerves causing discoloration and lumps on the skin. In serious cases, disfigurement and deformities as well. Basically, world leprosy day is celebrated on the 31st of January to raise awareness about the disease among many people who believe the disease to be extinct. However, more than 600 people get diagnosed with and start treatment for leprosy all over the world. So on this occasion, various types of awareness programs will be held in order to aware people of the disease.
