Gyalpo loshar

Gyalpo loshar is also known as tibetian New year. This festival is made up of twelve lunar month, loshar begins on the first day but the celebration doesn’t usually begin until the 29th of the very month. Gyalpo lhosar is usually celebrated by the Sherpa, Tamang, Bhutia and Yolmo from the mountain region of Nepal. Tibetian New Year is celebrated for almost 2 weeks but the main celebration takes place in first three days where in the first day beverage called changkol is made from chhaang, The second day is called Gyalpo Lhosar. This is the main New Year Day and in the third day people get together and have feasts.
